This panoramic sunset was taken from the top of Vail Mountain at the Game Creek restaurant Friday night during the Vail Film Festival. After a gondola ride to the top, a snowcat took us the rest of the way to the restaurant where we enjoyed an open bar and a beautiful sunset courtesy of Olympus. PL Productions was there providing audio support to Firstline Creative during the Olympus Pen Your Short Film Contest.
This week we had a fun commercial shoot down at the Pepsi Center starring Danilo Gallinari of the Denver Nuggets and Melanie Collins of NBA TV. Tuesday afternoon we took over the Nuggets locker room for a simulated post game interview with Danilo who was just acquired from New York in the recent trade with Carmello Anthony. The 6 foot 10 inch small forward gave a stellar performance, deadpanning his lines and cracking up the crew take after take. If he plays like he acts, Denver’s got a winner! The spot is for a top secret viral campaign produced by Gary Cortell and his team from NYC who kept the production motoring. Stay tuned to the blog for future updates on the ad!
When Professional Freebord rider Corey Lucero needed team action shots we hit the streets of Denver. Here, Corey nails an overslide for the camera in front of amazed onlookers in the Highland neighborhood.
Trek Bikes held their regional Fit Seminars in Denver this year and made Transmission Studio their venue of choice. Was it the great location, ample space, amenities or simply our smiling faces? Perhaps we’ll never know, but one thing is for sure: the two day seminar and demonstrations went off without a hitch! We’re looking forward to growing with Trek as they expand these seminars and continue to provide the biking industry with the best bikes and most knowledgeable experts.
Welcome to the world premier of Red. Transmission studio hosted the Red Reel movie showcase featuring Red by Ryan Policky. This is the setup we used,putting gel on every light to bathe the studio in red. The event was a success and the movie got a great response from the audience. The studio will host the next Red Reel in March, so stay tuned for more information and we look forward to seeing you there!

The Colorado Rapids Finished off the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference Championship Last Night 1-0 advancing to the MLS Cup final against the Los Angeles Galaxy this year in Toronto, Canada. Utility Chris Seiler snapped this shot of Phil shooting hand held for Fox Soccer Channel. The temperature was a balmy 29º fahrenheit in Denver at kickoff but the Rapids scorched the Earthquakes in the closing minutes of the first half on their way to making their very first MLS Championship.
Scott Wilson Shot all the video at the 2010 Crankworx Colorado Mountain Biking Festival in Winter Park, Colorado and brought it to Transmission Studio for editing. Phil cut it together over the weekend to the sounds of New Politics and the collaborative effort yielded this sweet music video featuring highlights of this year’s event.
